Here it is, i’ve put my name in the draw for the annual RHA show. It sounds like the artist’s lottery :many artist come and submit an art-work and very few are selected. (except for thoses who allready are in the loop…the very private loop of the RHA members).
RHA : Royal Hibernian Academy, with such a nam, it’s something created by the english. So in Ireland, this is the reference in contemporary Art. The kind of thing you cna write on your business card and everyone will buy your art. Beiing RHA is the chance to paint without caring about paying the rent each month.
And finally, beiing RHA is the ability to choose who can enter the RHA….well the irish Glory !.

waiting to submit So i did try for the first time with the following numbers : 11-17-36-45, well no, i did try with two artworks wich will be examined this week. The first one is called “Plankton 2″ that you can have a look at in the on-line gallery. This is a big blue painting with random dots. It can be selected according to Niall, so hope it will be successfull. Â The other piece of work is slightly different and is an Installation.

An installation is something between painting and Sculpture, this one includes mixed media, stero soundtrack and digital pictures. It is called “CAR PARK” and is basically an underground car park … but at the scale 1/24.
It’s finished but the hardest part was to take picture of it to have a good rendering on paper.

I’m working on puting that on the website while waiting for the answers from the RHA…
